Aberdeen New Born Photographer

Welcome

If you love natural, honest portraits of your baby as they begin to sit and show their personality, you are in the right place. This stage is full of connection, bright eyes, joyful expressions and those proud little moments of discovery. For many families, those early weeks pass quickly and suddenly your newborn is an expressive little person. This session gives you a chance to pause life and capturing your baby exactly as they are now.
Angie is known for her calm, patient approach. She works at your baby’s pace, often on the floor with them, engaging and encouraging while creating a relaxed space where natural expressions come easily.
Let’s create that gallery wall you’ve been thinking about, one you’ll enjoy every day as you walk past.

Where do you start?

Don't make the same mistake that so many new mums do.
You undoubtedly desire beautiful photographs of your baby, but often that's where the planning stops. As a result, many professional photos end up trapped on USB drives, never to be seen again.

With every client Angie starts with the end in mind. Asking "how are you going to use your photos?". Knowing where you are going to hang your baby's portraits will help your pick the right photographer for you. There is nothing worse then getting stunning images that never end up on your wall because they are supper colourful and wont suit your style or decor.

Most Mums will agree that you will love every photo taken of your baby, but is every image going to be fit for purpose? Will it look stunning on your walls?
Start with the end in mind. Is there empty spaces above the sofa or down the hallway that could do with a little TLC?

Packages and Prices

When working with a senior photographer, there are typically two fees you need to plan for:

1: Session Fee: £75. This fee is covers your time in the studio. It is due at the time of booking, typically 2-3 months prior to your session, and is non-refundable as it reserves Angie's availability for you.

2: Package Price: This is where you purchase your physical products. It is due two weeks after your newborn session at your viewing appointment.

Getting ready for your session

I can’t wait to meet you and your little one. Here’s everything you need to know to plan your Sitter Session. The most common question I get is: “When should we book?”

The best time to photograph your baby is when they are sitting confidently but not yet on the move. This usually means they can sit unaided for a minute or so, without toppling over, but aren’t yet crawling.
What I recommend is registering your interest a little earlier. As soon as you notice your baby starting to sit, get in touch. From there, I’ll guide you and secure a session roughly 3–4 weeks later, when your baby is more stable and full of expression, but still happily in one spot.
WHERE:
Your session will take place at my studio, a warm, calm space designed for both you and your baby, with everything you might need ready for you.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE:
Sitter sessions typically last around 1 hour. This keeps things relaxed and works around your baby’s attention span, while still allowing plenty of time to capture a beautiful variety of images.
WHAT TO BRING:
You don’t need much at all. I provide a carefully selected wardrobe and simple styling.
I recommend bringing:
  • A couple of simple outfit options if you’d like
  • Snacks and a drink for your baby
  • Wipes, nappies, and a spare outfit
  • A favourite toy if it helps them feel settled
ON THE DAY:
There’s no pressure for your baby to “perform.” I work at their pace, often down on the floor with them, engaging and encouraging naturally. Some babies are full of smiles, others take a little time to warm up, both are completely normal, and both are beautifully captured.
My studio is a relaxed, welcoming space, so you can take a step back and enjoy watching your baby’s personality come through.
AFTER YOUR SESSION:
We’ll arrange a viewing appointment where you’ll see your final images presented as a slideshow. From there, you can choose your favourites and decide how you’d like to display them in your home.
